How to Move Hair Care Products

by Admin 29. August 2012 08:32

Although your hair care products aren't fragile, they still run the risk of making a mess if they aren't handled with care and packed properly. Here's some advice for moving them without incident.

Bag Individually

Each bottle of shampoo, conditioner and hair gel should be put in its own bag. Although the caps should prevent them from spilling, any pressure might result in them releasing their contents. The bags will serve as damage control. If you don't have plastic bags, you can always use saran wrap.

Pack on Top

Try to pack all of your shampoo bottles in one box and label it so the moving company knows that it should go on top. You might even want to bring them in your car so you don't have to sort through all of your boxes when you want to take a shower in your new home.

Pick and Choose

Unless you have a pricey shampoo or a prescription hair product, you might be able to leave some of those containers behind. Go through each one and make sure there is enough left in it to warrant taking up precious packing space. If there's only a fraction of the bottle left, give it to a friend or family member.
