Tips for Moving Posters

by Admin 8. September 2012 08:49

As you pack up all of your possessions before one of the trusted long distance moving companies arrives, there are a few precious belongings that you might want to take extra care with. Your posters are not only fragile, but it's important to keep them in as good a shape as possible so they still make presentable decor. Here are a few tips for packing your posters.

Put Them in Frames

Framing your posters will protect them from any dirt or tears that might occur during the course of the move. They can easily be stacked or packed in crevices for convenience.

Wrapping Paper Rolls

Great sheaths for your posters that won't cost you anything are wrapping paper rolls. All you have to do is tightly roll your poster (don't crease it!) and slide it in. As you pack your things, remember to put the roll on top to avoid getting it crushed.

Unpack First

As you go through your possessions in your new home, you may want to unpack your posters first to ensure that they're in a safe place. LearnAboutMoviePosters.com reports that moisture, humidity, heat and too much light can damage posters; by hanging them up right away, you can prevent any unnecessary wear and tear.
